Juna Gersamia graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, faculty of Economics and Business in 2014, with specialization in Finance and Banking. In 2017 she earned a Master’s degree from the same university with specialization in Management.
Her career in public finance management started in 2013. She has working experience in both executive and legislative branches. After successfully completing her internship at the Public and Common Budget Formation Division of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in 2014, she started working at the Finance and Economic Department of the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. She joined the team of the Parliamentary Budget Office in 2021 and holds the position of a chief specialist at the Cost Estimates and Legislative Support Division.
Juna Gersamia has attended trainings and courses related to public finance, program and gender budgeting both in Georgia and abroad, including those organized by the International Monetary Fund, Joint Vienna Institute, USAID, CEF Slovenia and Swedish Institute Academy for Young Professionals.
In addition to her native Georgian, Juna speaks English and Russian languages.
